The Eucharistic Procession at St. Rose

Fr. Peter Cipriani, Pastor, shares his inspiring thoughts about the power of the Eucharist. Fr. Peter and Bishop Caggiani invite parishioners and all Catholics to attend the opening two days of the Diocesan Eucharistic Procession Part II, held at St. Rose Parish, and part of the USCCB national Eucharistic Procession Revival initiative.

They will take place on October 29th beginning at 7PM and continue through October 30th with Mass at 9AM. Please go to StRoseChurch.com/news for the full schedule of Masses, prayer, music, adoration and processions.

“For us as Catholic, and really in the whole wide world, there is no greater treasure than the Holy Eucharist. Good morning, everybody. For us as Catholic, and really in the whole wide world, there is no greater treasure than the Holy Eucharist. We have an opportunity to recultivate, in a sense, a greater awareness, a greater love, a greater appreciation, and a greater reverence for this great gift, this great treasure of the Holy Eucharist.

“This Tuesday evening, beginning at 7:00 PM in Church, we will have first a Mass. Bishop Caggiano will be with us. Followed by the Mass, we will then have a Eucharistic procession, hitting the campus again to celebrate and highlight the great joy, the great beauty of the Holy Eucharist. Mass. Following the Eucharistic procession, we will then have all night adoration. With the exception of tending Mass, there is no better time spent in this world than to spend our time with Jesus Christ exposed for us in the monstrance that will be placed on our altar. Of course, we will need adorers during the overnight hours.

“Then on Wednesday morning at 9 AM, we will have another Mass, this time by our adorable school children at St. Rose School. Again, Bishop Caggiano will be in attendance. Following the 9:00 AM Mass with our school kids, of course, everyone is invited. We will have another Eucharistic procession. School sponsored by our children around campus. And then the blessed sacrament will be transferred to St. Mary’s in Bethel. Tuesday and Wednesday, please take advantage of this celebration to recultivate that love and appreciation for what is our greatest gift as Catholic.

“What truly is the greatest gift in the whole wide world, and that is the gift of the blessed sacrament, the gift of the Holy Eucharist. But remember, we can only appreciate and joy receive this great gift. Why? Because from the womb, from the immaculate body of the blessed Virgin Mary, are able to receive this great gift, this great treasure that is Jesus Christ, fully present in the Holy Eucharist.
