St. Matthew’s is Houston bound

NORWALK—Msgr. Walter, Pastor of St. Matthew Church is driving one of three supply trucks down to Texas next week. Msgr. Orlowski is asking parishioners to consider donating supplies and goods to help their brothers and sisters in need!

“St. Matthew is Texas-bound, bringing Prayers, Love & Supplies for our sisters and brothers. I’ll be heading out next Tuesday to Our Lady of Guadalupe, our adopted Parish in Rosenberg, Texas. Fr. Lee Flores is the Pastor. Their Church has lost everything—it’s near a river (Brazos River) and under 5′ of water,” said Msgr. Walter Orlowski in an email to parishioners.

“So let’s load up trucks this weekend, just like we did a few years ago for our friends on Long Island during Hurricane Sandy.”

Msgr. Orlowski has asked parishioners and community members to donate non-perishables including bottled water, soap, shampoo, razors, Clorox, paper towels, toilet paper.

The trucks will be in front of St. Matthew Church this weekend and Msgr. Orlowski is asking people to drop off supplies on their way to Mass. “May God, the Lord of mercy and compassion, protect all who are still in danger, and bring to safety those who are missing,” he said.
