Hartford Health Announces New Board Members

BRIDGEPORT—The Hartford HealthCare Fairfield Region, which includes St. Vincent’s Medical Center, is proud to announce that Douglas Grabe and Peter Cimino, MD have joined the Fairfield Region Board of Directors.

Douglas Grabe is the president and CEO of Little Pub Group Inc, a Fairfield County-based hospitality company comprised of five full-service restaurants, a boutique hotel, a mobile kitchen, and outposts in the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater. Grabe graduated cum laude from the University of Bridgeport in 1991 with a BA in English and a minor in History. After graduation Grabe worked for several software companies including Microsoft, Baan, Webcasts/iBeam, and i-DNS holding various roles in sales, marketing and management focusing on accounts such as SUNY, General Electric, Bristol Meyers Squibb and IBM.

In 2002, Grabe left technology to found Atomic Products, a Bridgeport-based manufacturing company focused on developing and marketing innovative pet products and theme park novelties. By 2004, Atomic Products had distribution in over 30 countries and counted Walmart, The Walt Disney Company, and Petco as major customers. Grabe opened the first Little Pub location in 2009 and followed with a new location every two years. In 2019, Grabe opened the Surfside Hotel in Stratford, a waterfront boutique resort.

Grabe lives with his wife Daneen in Fairfield, CT. He is a former board member and committee chair of the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk and the Unquowa School in Fairfield.

Peter Cimino, MD has been a practicing primary care physician at the Fairfield Medical Group since 1999. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Fairfield County Medical Society. Dr. Cimino completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Pecs in Hungary and completed his residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was named the Resident of the Year. He is an active staff at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital.

Dr. Cimino has served on the St. Vincent’s Medical Executive Committee since 2007, most recently completing his term as president. In addition to serving his patients, Dr. Cimino is a dedicated teacher, with appointments as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital – Yale New Haven Health, the University of Connecticut and the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.
