BRIDGEPORT— Sunday will be a joyful and faith-filled day at St. Augustine Cathedral as Bishop Frank J. Caggiano serves as the Main Celebrate for Divine Mercy Sunday. The Mass will begin at 2:30 and be followed by a light reception in the Kolbe Cathedral High School gym.
At 4 pm, the 75-member Diocesan Youth Choir will “Lift Every Voice” in its free Spring concert in the Cathedral. The 50-minute performance will feature the music of composers John Rutter, Mozart and Caccini, along with three contemporary Church classics: “On Eagle’s Wings” by Michael Joncas, “Here I am Lord” by Dan Schutte and “You are Mine” by David Haas. The final song will invite audience participation for the singing of “Lift High the Cross.”
The Divine Mercy Sunday Mass and the Youth Concert are open to all throughout the diocese. St. Augustine Cathedral is located at 399 Washington Avenue in Bridgeport. Visit the website: https://www.thecathedralparish.org
