WASHINGTON—For 47 years, people of all faiths, denominations, races and backgrounds have gone to Washington to march for life and stand against abortion. Thousands of pro-life supporters have converged on the National Mall and marched on Capitol Hill on the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion.
A Prayerful Rosary March will take place on Friday, January 22 from 4:00-5:00 pm at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull. This event, occurring on the 48th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, is an opportunity for those unable to attend the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. to come together and pray for the unborn.
WASHINGTON—Each year on the night before the annual March for Life, at least 10,000 people have filled the Great Upper Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington for the National Prayer Vigil for Life.
FAIRFIELD COUNTY—Beginning on March 29th and continuing until March 31st, the Diocese of Bridgeport will sponsor Entering Canaan: A Hope and Healing Weekend for women suffering because of a past abortion.
BRIDGEPORT- The “40 Days for Life Vigil” will be observed within the Diocese of Bridgeport from March 6 to April 14, 2019.
The campaign will take place in Bridgeport and Danbury, outside of local Planned Parenthood clinics.
